Job Post:    STATIC EQUIPMENT PROJECT LEADER

Description

He/She is responsible of the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget, the project schedule and the technical project requirements, assuring cost optimization as well. He/She manages a group of Static Equipment Engineers appointed to the project and reports to the Project Engineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Static Equipment Head of Department for the management of the resources and the quality of the deliverables.

  

                                                                                                                                                  

                                                                                                                                                            Key Activities & Responsibilities:

 

  • To prepare and coordinate with Project Team (Project Director/Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager) and Static Equipment Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.

  • To ensure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, the compliance of the assigned budget and the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and cooperating with the other Project Lead Engineers;

  • To supervise and participate actively in the preparation and review the project technical specifications, material requisitions for tenders, technical evaluations and technical follow of manufactures.

  • To interface with Client representatives and Manufacturers for all the technical topics impacting on the project both in time and costs, to discussed with the manufacturers the potential improvements to manufacturing schedule

  • To guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs.

  • To coordinate with Construction and Site Project Control team in order to collect the Required On Site Date, verify alignment with current supply schedule and verify potential float in Construction plan

  • To provide feedbacks to Static Equipment Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instructions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

 

 Personal Attributes:

 

    • degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    • minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering in engineering companies or manufacturer of static equipment
    • at least four years of experience as a project leader
    • experience in coordinating international working groups
    • fluent English speaker and writer
    • availability to travel for short period in Italy and abroad
