Key Activities &
Responsibilities:
- To act as Chief Project
Engineer relevant to layout & piping design, as per guidelines
defined in the para. 3 of article 55.5-1 of the TPC RF and GOST
21.301-2014
- To drive the development
of all the main Layout & Piping design activities, ensuring the
compliance to the project requirements, the applicable codes and
standards, the local laws (e.g. GOST 21.301-2014 and all other norms of
RF);
- To endorse, approve and
sign layout & piping engineering deliverables issued for construction;
- To provide assistance to
the piping specialists involved as applicable (e.g. stress engineer,
support engineer, piping class engineer etc.) and in general ensure
adequate flow of information within the Job Team;
- To facilitate
technical and organizational interface with Clients, Vendors, other
project Contractors as applicable;
- To be proactively
involved in all design reviews, value engineering, 3D model reviews, plant
layout development, HAZOP/HAZID/SIL.
- To provide assistance to
procurement and HSE departments in selection of piping materials and
equipment and provide a knowledge and expertise in resolution of all
issues related to piping.
- To coordinate with the
project engineering manager a schedule of the drawing releases and ensure
an adherence to the project deadlines and accomplishment of the critical
tasks on time.
- To provide an expertise
while devising most economical technical solutions and measures to achieve
cost savings and timing reduction.
- To coordinate the
reviews of TBTs and CBTs for piping and generate proposals for cost
savings.
- To participate in
technical reviews with vendors as required by procurement department.
- To carry out business trips across Russia as required.
Skills and qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;

10+ years’ experience in the Piping Design field
of an engineering design environment in Petrochem / O&G industry
(Conceptual, Front End and Detailed Design experience), experience in an
Engineering Design Company/ Russian Design Institute desirable;

NOPRIZ registration is a must (or in the process
of registration);

Fluent spoken and written English, Italian is a
plus;

Extensive experience within Plants’ piping
discipline;

In-depth knowledge of main intl. piping design
std (namely ANSI, ASME, API, etc.);

Extensive knowledge of the main Russian
Standards and Norms, relevant to plant design;

Knowledge of Intergraph SP 3D or equivalent
modeling platforms along with its applications (Isogen, SPMAT, etc.): basic
modeling abilities will represent a significant plus;

Knowledge of piping stress-analysis
fundamentals, ANSYS and Smart Plant expertise is desirable;

Field experience in construction strongly
preferred;

Ability to check piping deliverables in a 2-D
and 3-D environment;

Self-motivated individual, able to work in both
small and large engineering team environments delivering results;

Able to provide innovative, fit for purpose,
solutions whilst meeting basic client engineering requirements.
