Role
description:
The
Contract and Legal Claim Manager will become part of the Claim Department. He/she
will be assigned, among other things, to provide vital assistance to project
teams working worldwide with contractual and legal advice and drafting of
critical correspondence, change orders and claims.
Key
Activities & Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not
limited to:
- With the support of the project
teams collecting and analyzing information and gathering appropriate
argumentation and evidence for drafting claims/changes/rebuttals;
- Analyzing
contract language, determining proper interpretation, and applying to facts;
- Assisting
the Contract Manager/Subcontract Administration Manager/Material Supply Manager
and project team members in the context of executive projects in defining and
preparing the legal and contractual aspects of critical correspondence with
Clients, Subcontractors and Suppliers;
- Developing
legal research and analysis concerning a variety of legal issues;
- Cooperate
with the Legal Affairs and Contracts Department in the selection and management
of any external lawyers needed to prepare legal opinions;
- Interface
effectively with project teams.
Educational Background, Qualifications, Knowledge,
Skills
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in
Laws in Italy;
- Minimum 3 years of experience
Experience
in construction law and claim preparation will be considered as a plus;
- Fluent
English speaker and writer;
- Excellent
written and verbal communication and organizational skills;
- Proficiency
with Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Availability
to travel abroad;
- Flexibility
and desire to get involved;
- Excellent
communication skills;
- Good
time-management skills.
